What United Methodists Believe
As United Methodists we have a strong conviction that God has mercy and love for all people, a belief in a triune God consisting of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost, an unshakable faith in the mystery of salvation through Jesus Christ, and the belief in the celebration of the sacraments. We are founded on the idea of prevenient grace which is a divine grace which precedes human decision.

Waples Makes a Difference
Waples has chosen to be more than just a beautiful architectural landmark on the west end of historic downtown Denison. Waples is a mission-minded church, expressing concern for those in need in our community and around the world, wanting to reach out to share God's spirit of love with people who need the presence of God in their lives.
Here in Denison, we extend a hand to the Crisis Center, the Grayson County Shelter, and the Denison Helping Hands. We provide school supplies for needy children, and participate in a community-wide mission project known as Great Days of Service. And the list goes on.
